Bucky is a computer program that allows the user to fling up to ten buckyballs at each other. The results of the collision will be saved and displayed immediately in wireframe mode. Then if you like, Bucky can automatically create a photo-realistic ray traced FLI movie of the same collision using POV-Ray and DTA.

• Buckyball, Buckminsterfullerene, C60 - Hollow, soccer ball shaped molecule composed of sixty carbon atoms
• Ray trace - Three dimensional, photo-realistic images made by computer
• POV-Ray - The Persistence of Vision Ray Tracer, a freeware ray tracing program
• DTA - Shareware command-line utility for creating Autodesk Animator FLI animation files
• FLI - Computer amimation file format. A FLI viewer is included in the Bucky archive

To get POV-Ray executible for MS-Dos -

o download povmsdos.exe
o run it in a temporary directory
o run the install.exe program produced
o follow the instructions

PKWARE PKZIP - shareware zipfile utility  (pkz204g.exe - self extracting archive - 193K)

Directions:

Create a new directory on your hard drive named "Bucky"

Unzip archive Bucky.zip in "Bucky"

Follow the directions in the Bucky documentation
